Some engagement shoots feel like a casual afternoon stroll – golden hour hues with the sun peeking through the trees. This one, however, felt different. As I stepped onto the forest floor, with the sun slowly fading, the moment had shifted from a posed photo op to a memory unfolding. This shoot with Presley and Ethan was inspired by that exact twilight glow — a tender time of day. More than that, the shoot was rooted in deep emotion, in a story that was unlike any other, not driven by trends, but by emotion to capture their love, which was timeless and authentic, and truly them.

All of this unfolded within the winding trails of Turkey Mountains in Tulsa, a place where their love found its wild, beautiful home. Forget what they tell you about what the best time is for an engagement shoot. Not all love stories are represented the same. For some, like Preseley and Ethan, it was during a time when the sun slowly crept behind the forest trees, illuminating only them. Despite the lack of light, you could still feel how strong their connection was. No, they did not avoid sunshine, but they decided to honor the raw, consuming connection between them. It was the perfect moment where the pictures turned, deep, intense, and electric.


A Theme as Deep as Their Connection

When you look at a photograph, you often notice how the models were posed. The goal is always to capture genuine movement and interaction where you can feel exactly how they felt in that moment: tension between each touch, lingering look, laugh, and movement.
